First Time Racing?

REQUIRED GEAR

  • Full faced helmet (DOT approved)
  • Life jacket (PFD not impact vest)
  • Race numbers
    • Hockey tape works great as a temporary option
  • Tow loop

Highly Suggested:
  • Goggles
    • tip=place a small piece of duct tape over your strap on the back or side of helmet to prevent losing your goggles in the water
  • Gloves
  • Wetsuit
  • Shoes 
    • Something with grip that is light and breathable. Wrestling shoes are a popular choice

What to Expect at the Event

​1. Registration opens first thing - please find the WCWA race trailer and tent to register, pay and confirm the race schedule.

2. Riders meeting - a mandatory Riders Meeting will be held starting the day to review the rules, course, safety protocols and answer any questions that may come up.

3. Practice -  everyone gets an opportunity to learn the course and get some practice laps in. We will guide you around for the first couple laps until you are confident you know the way to go.
Safety is our top priority!

Helpful Hint: Take a picture of the schedule and race course to reference throughout the day

4. Race time - each class gets two moto's per day. Moto 1 in the morning, Freestyle competitions mid-day then Moto 2 in the afternoon. Points earned from each moto are combined to determine the overall winner and finishing order at the end of each day.
